I am a keen photographer, sailor, diver, teacher, designer, a committer on Apache Cocoon and was recently elected a Member of the Apache Software Foundation. I am a freelance software developer who specialises in Open Source, consulting for companies mostly around Europe.

A short apocryphal auto-biography

I was born in Oxfordshire in the UK in 1959, to Norbert Quinn and Felicity Gubbins. My father was Irish-American, the family having emigrated there in the famine. I heard my mother was Cornish. I have 9 brothers and sisters and they are all great craic. We have 3 mothers and two fathers between us. When I was a kid, we lived in a field.

I now live in Brixton, South London.
